He became a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the University College London Hospitals (UCLH) NHS Trust, specialising in foot and ankle disorders in 1997, and was Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to Saracens RFC until 2001.
Lloyd became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1990 and is founding partner at The London Orthopaedic Clinic. He has trained in Minimally Invasive Foot and Ankle Surgery (MIS), a revolutionary procedure used to treat a number of common foot conditions.
His areas of expertise and interest include forefoot reconstruction for hallux valgus (bunions) and correction of hind foot deformity and arthritis, and the management of foot and ankle disorders in dancers and professional sportspeople, including football and rugby players.
