We are pleased to announce that 18 Week Support has been appointed to the Increasing Sector Capacity Framework. This framework, available until March 2021, has been established to provide additional funding and capacity to the NHS to enable improved access for patients.

The Government Spending Review announced an additional £3 billion next year to support the NHS’ recovery from the impacts of Covid-19. This includes around £1 billion dedicated to beginning to tackle the elective backlog, including one million extra checks, scans and additional operations or other procedures. These services can also be sourced by direct award via the NHS Shared Business Services framework. Whilst both options present an opportunity to assist in reducing your waiting lists across a wide range of specialties, at these difficult and unprecedented times we are aware that many organisations will still struggle with freeing in-hospital capacity.

18 Week Support and Consultant Connect have therefore come together to offer an end-to-end solution to help clear waiting lists in a wide variety of specialties. Should you not require the full end-to-end provision, both Consultant Connect’s Referral Backlog Triage or 18 Week Support’s services can also be booked separately, providing a tailored solution to your organisations requirements.
